Monica,
You and your committee should be recognized for doing such a great job at the 2009 reunion.  It was so great to see so many of our classmates.  It seems that despite how many directions we have all gone, we still hold that bond from being together in high school.
Without your efforts, the reunion would never have happened...we will never forget that.
Thanks again

Hi All-
OK, so I finally got on the reunion website! Good Job Monica. It is great to read how everyone is doing. Why couldn't we be so casual and open when we were younger? All is well on my end...was married and now single with 4 wonderful adult children. Still working Labor and Delivery at PIH in Whittier and going back to school for my Master's so I too can teach (Bill Q-I am trying to catch up!) I will make sure to bring a picture of my kids so I can brag at the 35th reunion in October, they are all awesome and I am truly blessed.
Send me an email if you want to connect further.
Blessings,
Cheryl Fine Malm

Thanks for establishing this web based forum.   Seems so much more personal the "Clasmates.com".  I am still a local living in La Habra.  Married 29 years now to Pam Thorp (La Serna 1975) 2 girls in college.  We enjoy RV camping all over the western US.

Fantastic site Monica!  I so proud of you!

So, I just want to know how many of you ended up being teachers?

I look forward to seeing everyone again. Hey, you all got old!  I had so much fun at the last dinner dance as you may have noticed... or was it JoAnna Dean that had all the fun? Let's see... blonds have ... anyway,... she's famous you know.

I was so pleased to hear how successful you all are and to see pictures of your kids.  My, we have some really proud parents in our group!

I hope to see SueBee Middleton-Emerson, Jeff China Groves and Robert Romo, Cherylnod, SueWho or I'll search you down and live with you for two weeks!(The perfect threat?)

Have your dance shoes on cause I'm coming to town!
Sheri

Does someone have band camp or band pictures? Several of us didn't have a camera in the 70's and would love for you to send them to my email. I will pass them on to the people who have asked me for some.

What a wonderful website.  I sure wish the class of 1971 (my graduation year) had something similar.  My best wishes to all of you....some of you I knew, others....I knew your older siblings.  :)

Outstanding job on the website Monica.
1974, was the coolest year of the 70`s. Now I have a daugther, she in Band and loving every minute of it. Cal-Hi has one of the biggest and strongest music Dept. in the school district. Last year (2008), the marching Band had 110 students and growing every year. If you ever go to a Cal-Hi football game Do Not miss the half time show. This year they made it to the State Finals

Well I've been gone along time and really haven't been involved with any other reunion activities. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. I live in Hemet now and still have some ties to Whittier. It will always be my home.

Hi Condors!  I went to Calhi my freshman and sophmore years then moved to San Diego.  I see a lot of names I remember!   I still keep in touch with Becky Clark - I mean Chico!
I am in Modesto now.  Married, got divoriced, remarried.  2 kids.  I work for Gallo Winery.  I always considered Calhi my 'real' HS.  Good luck to all!

Hi to all.
Monica and Reunion Group - Thanks for all your efforts. This website is great. I am looking forward to the 35th reunion.
Currently, I am living in Nebraska with my husband and my 2 youngest daughters, ages 12 and 16. I have 3 other children, a son and daughter here in NE and a son in northern California. I can honestly say I have kept pretty busy since graduating high school.

Hello Calhi 74 - from Denmark. How can one understand that it is 33 years ago since we saluted Calhi at the Calhi Football stadium and left to experience the world. My year as exchange student at Calhi in 73/74 was my best year ever. The spirit of the Cross Country Team, the Drama Class, the sport events and the friendships - and just being there - being a part of you. After my return to Denmark I went to study law at the University of Ã…rhus - ending up as a Business Lawyer in the City of Vejle - 200 km west of Copenhagen - 25 km east of Legoland Denmark.:o) In 1985 I married the love of my life, Lise. We have 3 children, Jacob, 20 years (studying medicin), Kirstine and Mathias (just returned from South Africa and Brazil as exchange students - now attending Gymnasium in the city of Vejle - before signing up for the University). The life has been coulor full and rewarding after the basic rule of living: "Nothing comes from nothing" - but if you polish the lamp - maybe the spirit could show up! Looking forward so much to reexperience "the spirit of 74'" Martin Beck, Denmark

So looking forward to this reunion since we didn't have a 30 year (except for the die hards that stood by the sign in front of Cal-High in 2004 for some pics). Wonder if "Eddie Chrisman" will be there? Oh yeah he graduated in 73!! Very anxious but, ready to see some familiar faces. The web site looks great.

Inspite of being deathly shy and having high anxiety (I really feared Bird Man, just kidding) I have many great memories of my high school years. I have 2 beautiful daughters 18 and 20 years old. I have been single for 8 years (no regrets). I have a great career in Dental Sales and I am very happy and feel very blessed.

Hello class of 1974. After Cal Hi I went to Whittier College, got a BA in accounting and, 1978 being what it was, I ended up as a computer programmer. Married a girl from Illinois and have been living there under protest ever since. (Met her in the Grand Tetons. Thought I was getting a mountain girl. I am a victim of bait-and-switch.) Got a masters in information systems which allowed me to teach school. Taught programming at community college level for six years, during which time I completed a masters in applied math and switched over to the math department. Loved it, but left after three more years due to Y2K. Went into corporate training, mostly IT boot camps. Cash cow. Sadly, the cow has dried up. I miss the cow. But that is still my work: teaching computer programming in the business world. Currently going through a midlife crisis, so I decided to go back to school. Working on a third masters, this time an MSEd in instructional technology. People ask, "why not a doctorate" to which I reply, "why take the fun out of going to school." I have four children, one granddaughter. No longer running -- messed up my knee with tae kwon do (but not before I got my black belt at age 48.) My passion remains hiking (at fifty, the downhills are worse than the uphills.) You can find out more at http://www.billqualls.com if you care to. I will be attending the reunion with my sister Ida (class of 1976.) Best wishes to all. Fondly, Bill.
